We know you probably have questions. Here are some answers to some of our most frequently asked questions:
STL Foodworks seeks to provide kitchen space for new businesses, caterers, restaurateurs and anyone in the food industry in need of a commercial space. All clients are required to have a business license, ServSafe certification, and insurance.
Visit our Get Started page! All prospective clients are required to apply/pay an application fee, submit business paperwork, pay a security deposit, and attend orientation. More details are provided on the Get Started page.
Clients who have completed the application process will reserve kitchen space using The Food Corridor website. All reservations are then approved or denied by STL Foodworks management.
Clients interested in reserving storage space can inquire in person with STL Foodworks management or email info@stlfoodworks.com.
Clients can access the facility through the front door when the manager is on site. Clients with reservations after-hours will be supplied with an access code for the secure rear entrance.
STL Foodworks provides most large equipment (ranges, ovens, etc.) that clients will need for food production. All small wares (bowls, utensils, etc.) and specialty equipment is provided by the client.
All clients are required to clean their reserved space before leaving. Expectations for cleaning are outlined in the Policies and Procedures manual.
STL Foodworks provides lockable dry, cooler, and freezer storage for clients to rent on a weekly or monthly basis.
At present, STL Foodworks does not have a dedicated gluten free kitchen space. However, all kitchens are cleaned between client reservations.
